It’s hard to believe that it’s almost mid-summer already. It’s been so nice to enjoy every new month and season this first year back in Canada. I had forgotten so much and get pleasantly reminded almost daily of little Canadian treasures I haven’t experienced in years. A few of my most favorites from mid to late July; Black Eyed Susans (what a terrible name for a flower!), fresh Atlantic mussels with herbs from the market, snowball bushes, cute fuzzy bumblebees, and regular thunder and lightning storms that cool everything down. A few other general favorites from this past week; chilled white wine on a hot evening, a new WMD sign for Steve’s workspace and soaking up what little shade we can find on sunny, summer afternoons. There’s so much to be thankful for these days!
One of my oldest and dearest friends, Lorianne arrives tomorrow for a week long visit. I can’t wait. It’s going to be a blast catching up. It’s been way too long!
Wishing you all a terrific weekend!
